Shakori 40 Running Festival

The Shakori 40 Running Festival will take place on December 5 and 6 at the Shakori Hills Community Art Center in Pittsboro. The two-day celebration includes a 40-mile ultramarathon, a 40K open race, a 40-mile age-graded team relay (for up to 10 runners), and a four-mile open race. The cross-country course winds through the scenic Shakori Hills and combines competition with a festival atmosphere featuring camping, bonfires, craft beer, live music, and camaraderie. Registration closes on December 3, 2025.
