Walk & Talk: Geology along the Deep River and Central Piedmont

Come out for a walk along the Deep River State Trail with Barry Nelson, Chief Geologist and President of Northwest Geoscience, a geotechnical and environmental firm.

Take a walk with us from 9 am until noon on Saturday, July 27. The event will start and finish at the Deep River Folk School located at 282 Rising Sun Way, Franklinville, NC.

This is a walk and talk event looking at the geology of the Central Carolina Piedmont along the Deep River State Trail and the Deep River. The walk will be approximately 2 miles and will in be in partial shade.

The outing is open to the public but has a limit of 25 participants. Sign up soon and come eager to learn!
