Old Fort Trails and Trains Festival Weekend! Come celebrate National Trails Day Weekend and see the Old Highway turned Greenway. Once the gateway road from North Carolina’s Piedmont region to the Mountains and City of Asheville. We will be working together in pruning, blowing leaves, cutting back kudzu, and cleaning drains out of this popular recreation trail! Bring your picnic for a scenic lunch on the trail! Wear long pants and sturdy closed toed shoes. Bring a backpack with water, snacks, any meds you might need, and extra layers for weather protection. We will provide safety equipment, tools, and project guidance.
