Together\, we’ll remember the events that have shaped our history\, reflect on the present\, and envision a promising future for the next generation. \nFestivities will include live music and performances\, food trucks\, vendors\, displays and demonstrations\, activities for children\, and much more. If you are interested in participating\, volunteering or getting involved in other ways\, please contact Lindsay Ray at lindsay.ray@chathamcountync.gov or 919-545-8302. \nThis free\, family-friendly event takes place indoors at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC). Shuttle services will be provided by Chatham Transit. CCACC is an ADA-compliant space\, featuring wheelchair-accessible parking\, entrances\, shared spaces\, and walkways. DESCRIPTION:The Cape Fear Flyers run in the trails of Carolina Beach State Park year round and we are excited each year to invite youth cross country teams from across the state and our running community to enjoy the trails of the state park we love so much. \nThe Monster Dash starts with a youth cross country meet with trail runs at 2K\, 3K\, and 4K. The last event of the morning is a 5K for the 15-18 age division and the community. \nRegistration opens on June 1\, 2026
