Held in the heart of downtown Williamston\, the Stampede is a vibrant\, family-friendly weekend of\, live diverse musical performances\, craft and novelty vendors and delicious food trucks.  And while you enjoy music over the weekend\, you might enjoy the Skewarkee Rail Trail\, which seamlessly connects to the Roanoke River Boardwalk\, and offers a scenic route through lush landscapes and along the tranquil waters of the Roanoke River.  The trail’s greenway runs through downtown Williamston\, giving visitors access to shops\, restaurants\, and more. The new boardwalk expansion between Moratoc Park and NC Wildlife Boat Ramp in Williamston completes the walking loop connecting the park and Skewarkee Rail Trail.
